Overview: Space-jailed for vandalizing with a contraband can of Magic Spray Paint, you smuggle this nanobot paint in your robotic torso and plot your escape. Create items out of thin air by connecting holographic dots with your spray paint to generate tools you need to get back home. Break the rules and rely on your instincts to break out of jail - or you will be homesick forever!
In this project, we had to create and experience that a naive guest could get freedom of choice, and make at least three prediction for what the guest will do in the world.
In order to success in this round, guest testing is a powerful tool for understanding how guests experience my world so use it early and often. In this sense, our team decided to make a Space Vandals game. The goal of our game is let guest to escape from the space jail.. In order to escape from the space jail, the naive guest had to paint with a spray can. The spray can is the interactive and important mechanism in our game.
My Role: Programmer & Co-producer
As Programmer for Space Vandals, I cooperated with another programmer (Ann Marie) to develop, iterate upon this game in Unity and I took charge of the main mechanism (the painting part). My duties as Co-producer lay primarily in arranging team meetings and feedbacks of naive guests.
